The Teamtailor-Gem integration allows you to:
- Upload a candidate from Gem into Teamtailor and assign them to a job.
- Duplicate check against candidates who are already in Teamtailor using their name and email address.
- If an existing candidate profile is found in Teamtailor, you can merge the current Gem profile with it to link the two or choose to upload them as a new candidate to create a separate Teamtailor profile for them.
Setup Instructions
Pre-work - A Gem team member will need to set your team's ATS to Teamtailor. If you are already working with a Gem Account Executive or Customer Success Manager, let them know that you are on Teamtailor. Otherwise, you can email the Gem Support team at support@gem.com to request that we make this change.
Get your Teamtailor API key - In order to connect Teamtailor with Gem, you will need a Teamtailor API key. Your Teamtailor administrator can generate one for you by going to Teamtailor Settings > Integrations > API Keys > +New API Key . Other members of your team can use the same API key as you to set their integration up and a new API key does not need to be generated for every Gem account.
Connect Gem with Teamtailor - On the Gem site, look up or open the Gem sidebar for any candidate and click "Connect" under the Teamtailor integration section. You will be asked for your Teamtailor API key (obtained in previous step) and this is where you'll paste it in and click "Submit". That's it!
Usage Notes
Uploading candidates - In order to upload a candidate from Gem into Teamtailor, the the candidate will need an Email in Gem. The Job field is optional.
Permissions - Because a team-wide Teamtailor API key is used, there may be some individual Teamtailor user permissions that are not respected by the Teamtailor-Gem integration. For example, you may be able to see and upload a candidate to a job shown in the Gem extension that you do not have access to in Teamtailor. We do, however, hide Confidential jobs.
