Authorizing Zoom
The Gem <-> Zoom integration requires a Zoom admin to authorize the connection. The Zoom admin will need a Gem account to authorize the Zoom integration. For your Zoom admin to create a Gem account, they just need to log into gem.com with their work email address and complete the onboarding flow (you will not be charged for the creation of the new Gem account).
Once signed in to Gem, your organization's Zoom admin should complete the following steps:
- Navigate to https://www.gem.com/settings/scheduling
- Scroll down to the Zoom Settings panel.
- If you are a Zoom Admin, click Connect to Zoom and follow the prompts
- If you are not a Zoom Admin, click the 'Share link' button to copy the setup link. Share it with your organization's Zoom admin and request them to complete the setup.
Usage
The Zoom integration allows you to seamlessly set up Zoom calls for meetings created through your Gem Scheduling link.
- Navigate to Settings > Scheduling.
- Bring up the Settings modal by creating a new booking type, or by editing an existing type.
- Under "Video Conferencing", select "Zoom".
- Save the changes.
Any meeting created by the associated scheduling link will automatically have a Zoom call attached.
For more information about the Gem Scheduling product, please see Self-Scheduling in Gem.
Deauthorizing Zoom
Please note that deauthorizing Zoom will remove Zoom support from all Gem Scheduling.
- Login to your Zoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.
- Click Manage > Added Apps or search for the Gem app.
- Click the Gem app.
- Click Remove.
