You can create an interviewer pool by specifying some rules for who should be part of the pool. Each rule is a combination of interviewer eligibilities and tags, or a specific member on your team.
In this article, we'll walk through a few examples of how to create interviewer pools.
Using interviewer eligibilities and tags
When possible, we recommend creating interviewer pools using interviewer eligibilities and tags. You can manage interviewer eligibilities and tags from the Interviewers page. Check out How do I manage my interviewer spreadsheet? to learn more.
To create a pool of interviewers who can conduct the Culture Add interview, you can use an interviewer eligibility.
You can narrow down this pool further. Let's say you want your pool to contain interviewers who are eligible to conduct the Culture Add interview and are part of the Engineering team. You can combine an interviewer eligibility with a tag like this.
You can exclude certain interviewers that you don't want to be part of the pool.
You can also create additional rules to expand your interviewer pool. For example, let's say we want to create an interviewer pool with people on the Product or the Engineering team.
Selecting specific individuals
You can create a group of specific individuals by adding each interviewer as an additional rule.
Selecting a hiring team member
For some interviews, you may want the interviewer to be someone who plays a particular role in the candidate's hiring process. You can specify the candidate's recruiter, hiring manager, sourcer, or coordinator as a rule.
You can also exclude hiring team members from interviewer pools. For example, if you want to create an interviewer pool for lunch with a candidate's potential team members, but exclude the candidate's hiring manager, you can do so like this.
