Overview
Internal Job Boards in Gem ATS gives your recruiters the ability to post open jobs to an internal job board so that only employees of your company can apply to them.
Jobs can be posted to an internal job board prior to being posted to an external job board to give employees a chance to be considered before the general public. Sometimes, the job may be posted only to the internal job board to promote internal mobility.

How to use Internal Job Boards
Enabling the Internal job board for your team
Internal Job Boards first needs to be enabled by a team admin. To do this:
- Navigate to ATS Settings > Job boards > Internal job board and toggle ON “Enable internal job board”. This enables you to configure the internal job board in the Internal job boards settings panel, and to create job posts to be published to the internal job board.
- Click on the Internal job board settings panel and toggle ON “Publish internal job board”. This makes the internal job board become visible to users. Make sure to click Save & close after you make changes in this panel.
- In this same panel, admins can also configure the internal job board branding.
Posting to the Internal job board
On the Job Post modal, you can now select “Internal job board”.
Identifying internal applicants
To help users identify internal applicants in Gem ATS, we include a badge on this type of candidate in Talent Pipeline, on the application details modal, and on the candidate profile page.
