Ever meant to follow up with someone but got sidetracked? We know… it happens. Days fill up, reminders get buried, and suddenly that crucial follow-up has slipped through the cracks. But when it comes to engaging prospects, you don’t have to (and you shouldn’t!) rely on memory. That’s where Gem Sequences come in.
Gem Sequences: an overview
Gem Sequences lets you streamline outreach to prospective candidates by automating messages with preset templates that are delivered at scheduled intervals. Here’s what you need to know about how they work:
- Sequences are divided into stages, each containing a templated message and a scheduled delivery time. Every Sequence consists of at least one stage (though we recommend more).
- Personalization tokens can be inserted into outreach messages to dynamically populate variable-attributes, like a prospect’s first name, their current company, or the day of the week the message is sent
- Gem either sends emails automatically or prompts you to take other actions to connect with prospective candidates at set intervals
- If a prospect replies, the Sequence stops immediately to prevent over-messaging
- If a prospect doesn’t reply, the next message in the Sequence is sent at the scheduled time (e.g., 5 days later)
- If the prospect never replies, the Sequence runs its course until all messages have been sent
- Users have the option to pause an active Sequence at any time
Outreach methods include:
- Automatic: Messages are sent automatically by Gem (e.g., emails and texts)
- Manual: Gem prompts you to take an action (e.g., sending an InMail, making a phone call, or sending a LinkedIn connection request)
By allowing you to customize outreach channels for every stage, Gem Sequences help you connect with prospects in the way they prefer to communicate, maximizing engagement and response rates.
