- "Failed due to API limits on your email account.“
If you are seeing the above error message, this indicates there are too many API requests hitting your email account. This error code is specific to a user's mailbox, and your email provider typically sets limits to how many calls can be made by applications that integrate with your mailbox. Typically this limit is shared across all connected apps.
Gem has strong protections in place to make sure Gem doesn’t exhaust your account’s API limits. However, sometimes other applications you have connected to your account, or interactions between multiple applications, may exhaust your account’s limit.
You can view all of your connected applications using the links below:
If you are seeing this error, here are a few things you can do:
- Review which applications you have connected to you mailbox to see if there are any applications that could be responsible for an increase an API usage.
- You, or a Gem team admin can visit your Team settings to set limits on how many emails your team members can send daily.
- Ensure that you are only connecting applications from trusted developers.
- If multiple people on your team are experiencing issues, check to see if there are any common applications that could be causing the spike in usage.
