Part of the Job details page for each job in the Gem ATS, the Sourcing tab allows you to bring all of your sourcing tasks together in a single place, helping you stay as organized and efficient as possible. You can complete your whole workflow from here: start and review AI searches, add candidates into projects and sequences, and review your progress.
In this article we will talk you through the Sourcing tab, and demonstrate what you can do from here.
Requirements: The Gem ATS feature must be enabled. If you do not have this feature but are interested in adding it, please contact your Gem Customer Success Manager.
Eligibility: Available to all Gem ATS teams.
To find the Sourcing tab, select a job and click on Sourcing from the options at the top of the screen.
By default this tab starts off empty, with options available under AI SOURCING, PROJECTS and SEQUENCES headings. Once you start creating searches and linking projects or sequences, these sections will be populated with cards showing key pieces of information, which you can then click on for further details.
AI sourcing
The AI sourcing section will display cards for all AI searches (at any stages) that exist for the job in question.
Each card contains some key information about its related search - you can click on the name to open up the full details of the search in a new tab.
Clicking the Create new search option takes you to the AI Sourcing page in a new tab, where you can go through the process of search creation. See our AI Sourcing: Getting Started article for more information.
NOTE: AI Searches can only be attached to one job at a time.
Projects
This section of the page will display all of the projects that are currently linked to the job in question. Linking projects this way helps with keeping your candidates organized, grouping like candidates together for easy rediscovery.
Each card contains key information about its related project, including the number of prospects. You can click on the project name to open up the full details of the project in a new tab, or click the Unlink from this job button in the top-right corner if you no longer want it linked.
Clicking the Link a project (or ‘link another project’ if you already have one linked) option generates a popup where you can search for the project(s) that you want to link to the job. You can link multiple projects at this point if required.
If you’re not sure which project(s) you want to link, click View all projects to go to the main Projects page, where you can look through the full list.
NOTE: Projects can be attached to multiple jobs simultaneously, so you can link as many as you need to a job.
Sequences
This section of the page will display all of the sequences that are currently linked to the job in question.
Each card contains key information about its related sequence. You can click on the sequence name to open up the full details of the sequence in a new tab, or click the Unlink from this job button in the top-right corner if you no longer want it linked.
Clicking the Link a sequence (or ‘link another sequence if you already have one linked) option generates a popup where you can search for the sequence(s) that you want to link to the job. You can link multiple sequences at this point if required
If you’re not sure which sequence(s) you want to link, click View all sequences to go to the main Sequences page, where you can look through the full list.
NOTE: A sequence can only be attached to one job at a time. If you attach a sequence which is already linked to another job, you will unlink it from the previous job.
Limitations
The following limitations apply at present. We will update this page if anything changes.
- The Sourcing tab is only available in the Gem ATS.
- It’s not possible to associate an existing AI Sourcing search with a job from this page.
