Overview
You can add candidates who do not currently have an email address available to email sequences. Once a Premium Email is found, the sequence will be sent out to them automatically without any action needed.
What is Premium Email Finding?
Premium Email Finding is a feature that allows Gem users to leverage additional data sources to help find emails for candidates that our default data providers were unable to find emails for. This feature uses both automated and manual email finding methods that are performed by a dedicated research team.

You will see a “Find premium emails” button displayed under the Candidate Info section of the Gem extension.

You are allotted 300 credits to use each month per user, which automatically resets on the 1st day of the month. Unused credits are non-transferable and do not roll over into the next month.

If your Gem Admin has enabled work email filtering for your team, Premium Email Finding respects this setting and will automatically hide any work emails that are found.
Requirements

You have sufficient Premium Email Finding credits remaining for the month, which will be displayed in Gem while you’re sending out a sequence.
- The candidate(s) must have a LinkedIn profile attached to their Gem candidate profile.
How it Works

Add your candidate(s) to an email sequence. Gem will send out your sequence to anyone who currently has an email address available. For candidates with no email address:

Sequencing individually: If you are sending out the sequence to candidates individually from the Gem extension, the candidate’s sequence will be in a Pending state while Premium Email Finding runs behind the scenes.

Sequencing in bulk: If you are bulk-sequencing candidates (i.e. adding a Gem project to a sequence), Gem will give you the option to either (1) remove the candidates without an email from the recipients list or (2) use Premium Email Finding on them and put their sequences into the Pending state while Premium Email Finding runs behind the scenes.

When a Premium Email is found, Gem will automatically decide when to send the sequence out to the candidate based on:

The originally scheduled time that you’ve set if it has not already passed (ex. Next Thursday at 7:00PM).

Or, the next business day at 9:00AM in your time zone if your previously scheduled time has passed (ex. A date in the past).

If a Premium Email is not found after 5 business days, the sequence will change statuses from Pending to No emails found and a credit will not be used on the candidate.

You will need to contact candidates that fall into this category using alternative means (ex. InMail, text, etc.)

Notifications
For Premium Email Finding requests, we currently do not notify you when a Premium Email is not found. We do, however, send a periodic notification only when we do find emails for candidates.
Please note that notification behavior is different for sequences on which Premium Email Finding was requested (when a candidate is waiting in a sequence awaiting premium email to return results). In this situation, we do send a notification if we do not find email addresses.
Limitations

Premium Email Finding may take a few business days to return results, but will generally find emails in 24-48 hours. (If longer than 5 business days, we will automatically stop the search and a credit will not be used on the candidate.)

Unused Premium Email Finding credits are non-transferable and do not roll over into the next month.

There is no option to manually configure the send time for messages sent out automatically via Premium Email Finding (currently on our roadmap to improve, no ETA).

In Gem, Premium Email Finding credits remaining are only displayed while you are sending sequences (currently on our roadmap to improve, no ETA).

Reporting currently does not show which sequences were sent automatically using this feature (currently on our roadmap to improve, no ETA)
