This article covers ways that you can use the Gem Chrome Extension within Greenhouse.
The Chrome Extension functions the same way in any supported application (LinkedIn, Gmail, ATS), allowing you to take common actions on candidates in Greenhouse and even allowing you to source candidates within Greenhouse.
Here are some common actions you can take on candidates in Greenhouse with Gem.
Adding a candidate to Gem from Greenhouse
You can add a candidate to Gem right from Greenhouse by going to the candidate's profile in Greenhouse that you would like to add to Gem. You should see an Add candidate button right next to the candidate's name.
From there, Press Add candidate and the Gem Side Bar will pop out on the right side.
Viewing a candidate's profile in Gem right from Greenhouse
You can view a candidate's Gem profile right from Greenhouse by going to their Greenhouse profile. You'll press the View candidate button.
The Gem sidebar will pop out, allowing you to view that candidate's Gem profile.
Adding a Candidate to a Gem Project
You can add a candidate to a Gem Project in Gem from Greenhouse by pressing the Add candidate button right next to the candidate's name in Greenhouse.
From there, move to the Projects Section and select the Project you would like to add the candidate to.
Adding a Candidate to a Gem Sequence
You can add a candidate to a Gem Sequence right from Greenhouse by pressing the Add candidate button right next to the candidate's name in Greenhouse.
From there, move to the Add to Sequence Section and select the Sequence you would like to add the candidate to.
The Sequence Window will pop out at that point and you can walk through the steps to personalize and send the message for this candidate.
There are other commons actions you can do to a candidate's Gem profile right from Greenhouse like adding a Due Date, adding a note, or looking at all of the candidate's activity in Gem.
