We currently have three ways of adding candidates who do not have LinkedIn profiles:
-
Adding directly from Greenhouse
-
Adding manually in Gem (recommended when adding individual candidates)
-
Uploading candidates from a CSV or Spreadsheet (recommended when adding more than one candidate)
This article will walk you through all of the ways you can add candidates without LinkedIn Profiles to Gem.
Adding a candidate from Greenhouse
You can now add a candidate from Greenhouse to Gem with one click. Simply click the "Add candidate" button alongside any Greenhouse profile.
This opens the Gem sidebar and creates a profile using Greenhouse fields (e.g. name, company, title, school, emails).
If you're a Greenhouse user and need to upload a candidate without a LinkedIn profile, we recommend creating a Greenhouse profile first and uploading to Gem in one click.
Adding Manually in Gem
You can add someone to Gem manually by pressing the 'New' button at the top right of the Gem overview page, then selecting 'Prospect':
Once you've done so, you can add the candidate's information in the box that pops up and press the 'Create' button.
Uploading candidates from a CSV or Spreadsheet
When you upload a CSV to a project, we do not require a Public LinkedIn URL for each candidate. Simply create a CSV with details for each candidate, and then go to a Project to upload them by clicking Options > 'Upload CSV'.
