Occasionally, you may come across a situation where you need to remove or unsubscribe a candidate from Gem, usually at their request. To complete this, you can click the More button at the bottom of the Gem extension/sidebar.
Depending on the candidate's request, the following options are available:
-
Unsubscribe all - Prevents all members of your team from sending a sequence to the candidate, but keeps the candidate's profile in your team's Gem instance. (The candidate can still receive Gem Campaign messages, which they need to unsubscribe from separately if your team uses this feature and they have received one.) An "unsubscribed" banner will also be added to the Gem extension/sidebar for the candidate. This action can only be reversed if the candidate has been sent a sequence, otherwise it cannot be undone.
-
Delete candidate - Deletes the candidate's profile from your team's Gem instance. All historical outreach and activity are also deleted and the data cannot be recovered. Deleted candidates can be added back to Gem again and will be treated as if they are brand new candidates.
-
Delete and block candidate - Deletes the candidate's profile from your team's Gem instance and adds their data to a blocklist. The candidate can be added back to Gem again, at which point Gem will detect they have been blocked for your team. A "Do not message" banner will be displayed in the Gem extension/sidebar for the candidate. They can be added to a sequence, but messages will fail to send. Candidates cannot be removed from the blocklist.
